Melanie Lane’s Love Lock reimagines love songs to revel in the fantasies and collective experiences of diverse cultures. With striking costumes by designer Akira Isogawa and a score by UK electronic artist Clark, it’s a dance that summons a pulsing and transfixing energy. A journey that celebrates the binding ability of dance to move, warn and empower.
Green Room award recipient for best Choreography, Forever & Ever, from Antony Hamilton (Chunky Move), pulses with techno, high fashion, movement and precision. Featuring a thumping score from his brother Julian (aka one half of The Presets), it’s a playground of pop culture, precision, order and chaos. Humanity glimpsed through dance-floor politics.
