
Lucy Angel
Born and raised in Wollongong, NSW, Lucy began her training at Joanne Grace School of Dance at the age of eight. She began her full-time training in 2017 and completed her Certificate IV in dance, as well as being awarded her Solo Seal through the Royal Academy of Dance at age 15.
Lucy joined The Sarasota Ballet in Florida, USA as a trainee for their 2018-2019 season. At the end of 2019, she performed in The International Divertissement Ballet Gala with Projection Dance, as well as being a finalist in The Brisbane International Contemporary Dance Prix.
Lucy joined Sydney Dance Company’s Pre-Professional Year in 2021 and 2022. Through those years of training, she was fortunate to perform works by James Bachelor, Cloé Fournier, Stephanie Lake’s Colossus and Rafael Bonachela’s Frame of Mind, 2 in D Minor & ab [intra]. Lucy commenced a traineeship with Sydney Dance Company at the end of 2022. She performed ab [intra] at DanceX, and Sophia Ndaba’s The Veil of Separation and Charmene Yap’s Drunk Tank Pink for New Breed 2022.
