“The value and the power of the arts has never been more important than it is now.” – Rafael Bonachela

These are extremely difficult times for artists. Regretfully, Sydney Dance Company had to cancel the forthcoming season of Bonachela / Forsythe, which featured the musical talents of Australian String Quartet, Grammy award-winner Bryce Dessner of The National and Mercury-Prize-winner Anohni, the force behind the band Antony and the Johnsons.

To celebrate these musical powerhouses, we’ve created a playlist of some of their music for you to enjoy. We do hope to remount Bonachela / Forsythe as soon as we can.

Sydney Dance Company is a not-for-profit and any donation you can make will make an enormous difference. It will help keep us dancing and perform for you when this crisis abates. Show your support and keep the joy of dance alive.

Australian String Quartet has created unforgettable string quartet performances for national and international audiences for 30 years. This week they were scheduled to perform Impermanence, a world premiere score by composer Bryce Dessner featuring Academy-Award-nominated Anohni. We hope to remount this performance later in the year but until then here’s a playlist of incredible music from these mind-blowing artists.

To everyone who has sent us a message of support, donated back to us the value of tickets, and acknowledged the challenges we are facing, thank you. We will get through this together.
