Biography

Linda Gamblin (nee Ridgway) trained with the Royal Ballet School in London and went on to perform principal roles in ballets such as Romeo and Juliet, Coppelia, Nutcracker, Swan Lake, Onegin, La Fille Mal Gardee and contemporary works Four Last Songs, Transfigured Nights, Tivoli, Beauty and the Beast while working with The Australian Ballet, The Royal Ballet London, National Ballet of Portugal and Sydney Dance Company.

As well as an extensive professional career as a dancer, Linda is a passionate dance educator. Presently Head of Training at Sydney Dance Company, Linda began to study and teach dance mid-career, gaining a keen interest in the workings of the body. Together with continued professional development on mindfulness, mental health, selfcare and resilience, this knowledge has become an integral part of Linda’s teaching and coaching practices.
