Biography

Isaac grew up in Melbourne, starting dance at the age of seven at Stapleton’s Dance Academy. At the age of 12 he was accepted into the Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School on a full dance scholarship.

Upon completing school Isaac joined the first Sydney Dance Company Pre-Professional Year in 2014. Whilst there he worked with choreographers Kristina Chan, Craig Barry, Lucas Jervies and Paul Selwyn-Norton, as well as performing in Sydney Dance Company repertoire.

In 2015 he was accepted into second year at the New Zealand School of Dance (NZSD) where he then graduated in 2016. Isaac choreographed and performed in the 2016 NZSD choreographic season Scope featuring his work The Private Sphere. His work was then further commissioned for performances throughout Wellington. Whilst studying in New Zealand, Isaac performed in works by Malia Johnston, Sarah Foster-Sproull, Okareka Dance company, T.H.E Dance Company and Hofesh Shechter.

Whilst completing third year Isaac was offered a contract with Sydney Dance Company as an Associate Artist for choreographer Antony Hamilton’s Crazy Times. 

Isaac will perform in Crazy Times at the Sydney Opera House from 14-18 March 2017.
