Make Your Move

Make Your Move

An exciting initiative for people with mobility restrictions who want to dance.

Strathfield 15 May – 3 July
Burwood 16 May – 4 July

Sydney Dance Company’s new program Make your Move is an exciting initiative for people with mobility restrictions who want to dance.

These weekly dance sessions are FREE of charge and take place at two locations around Sydney:

  • Burwood
  • Strathfield

The course runs for 8 weeks and is open to adults over the age of 18.

The program is designed as a series of creative workshops to get you moving, making and participating in contemporary dance. Over the course of the 8 weeks you’ll develop skills and confidence in movement and explore some of the ideas that inspire Sydney Dance Company’s productions. Sessions will include a gentle warm up and a range of creative dance activities in a safe and fun environment.

We encourage you to bring along a friend, family member or carer to dance with you.

Limited places are available.

This program is supported by the Jibb Foundation.

Who is it for? Adults who would like to participate in a dance class, but feel their mobility restriction may currently be preventing them from doing so. Prior dance experience or training is not a pre-requisite and wheelchairs, walkers and mobility aids are welcome.
