Madeline Harms

Biography

Born and raised in Mount Gambier, South Australia, Madeline Harms received her early training at Maryke Dance Academy before moving to Melbourne to complete her high school education at the Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School (VCASS). In 2012 she received her Bachelor of Dance (BDa) at the Codarts University for the Arts, Rotterdam, The Netherlands, and then went on to base herself in Europe for a further 10 years.

Earlier in her career Madeline performed with Dantzaz Konpainia (Spain) with choreographers Itzik Galili and Jacopo Godani, and worked in The Netherlands as an independent dancer, working with Another Kind of Blue/David Middendorp and Het Nationale Opera.

Most recently, from 2017 until 2022, Madeline was a member of tanzmainz, the dance company of Staatstheater Mainz, Germany, under the direction of Honne Dohrmann. During her time with the company, she worked closely in creations with a variety of choreographers including Sharon Eyal (L-E-V), Rafaële Giovanola (Cocoon Dance), Roy Assaf, Guy Weizman and Roni Haver (Club Guy & Roni), Victor Quijada (Rubberband Dance), Guy Nadar and Maria Campos (GN|MC), amongst many others, and toured extensively throughout Europe and abroad.

In 2020, Madeline became a certified Countertechnique Technique Teacher under the guidance of founder Anouk van Dijk in Amsterdam.
