Chris Mills
Chris Mills was brought up on the Kapiti coast in New Zealand, where he danced at his local studio, Judith Fuge Dance School. Continuing into four years of full-time training at the New Zealand School Of Dance. He has worked with many influential tutors such as Paula Steeds-Huston, Helen Winchester, Jarek Cemerek and Victoria (Tor) Colombus.
Upon graduating, Chris was invited to join Australian Dance Theatre and remained with the company from 2016 till 2021 under the Artistic Directorship of Garry Stewart. In his time at the company, Chris performed in works by Garry Stewart, Adrianne Semmens, Ina Christel Johannessen, Alison Currie, Philippe Kratz and Lina Limosani. Chris toured with the company across Europe, America, South America and Australia.
At the beginning of 2022 Chris taught at the New Zealand School of Dance. During this time he joined the New Zealand Dance Company for a short tour of the North Island, working with choreographer Sean MacDonald.
Chris joined Sydney Dance Company in August 2022, and will make his debut with the company in ‘Resound’.
