Biography
Thomas Visser grew up in the country side of west Ireland. Born into a theatrical family, at the age of 18 he started working in music theatre. After 6 years Thomas commenced working in the contemporary dance field through the Nederlands Dans Theater. Since then he has created original designs for choreographers including Alexander Ekman, Johan Inger, Crystal Pite, Stijn Celis, Medhi Walerski, Lukas Timulak and Joeri Dubbe. Recently, Thomas has started creating his own projects including art installations and interactive media.
Thomas created the stage and lighting design for Alexander Ekman’s work Cacti, which made its Australian debut with Sydney Dance Company as part of the triple bill De Novo at Sydney Theatre in 2013.
