Overview

Les Illuminations, Variation 10 and Project Rameau

Across a trio of breathtaking dance pieces, Illuminated offers a radiant marriage of movement, music and live vocals from legendary songstress Katie Noonan. Born from the passionate choreography of Rafael Bonachela, Illuminated brings together three captivating visions of dance.

Bonachela’s Variation 10 joins his Les Illuminations – a deeply romantic tribute to the shimmering compositions of Benjamin Britten.

Rafael Bonachela and Richard Tognetti’s stunning collaboration Project Rameau brings Jean-Philippe Rameau’s dazzling Baroque ballet and opera music roaring into the 21st century. Fusing vibrant Baroque music with beautiful contemporary dance, Project Rameau’s premiere season played to packed theatres and critical acclaim.

Featuring the Australian Chamber Orchestra, Sydney Dance Company, legendary songstress Katie Noonan and costume design from Helpmann Award–winner Toni Maticevski, Illuminated promises a stunning evening of dance and live music.
