It has been great to have Kathaleen Fisher and her partner Thabang from So You Think You Can Dance Australia 2014 Top 20 teaching our Latin American Dance class on Thursday nights at 8pm. Read more about Kathaleen below:

Kathaleen started dancing at a young age in jazz and tap. At the age of 5, Kathaleen decided to branch out and pursue ballroom dance. She went on to win State Championships and made the Top 6 nationally for ballroom. In 2006 she featured in television documentary Ballroom Babies (Janine Hosking, 2005).

Kathaleen has always been a determined dancer and through her passion and drive for dance, she went on to receive a scholarship for The Mcdonald College in 2009, where she became a proud graduate in 2012. Kathaleen then went on to complete an Associate Degree in Dance at the Wesley Institute (2014).

On So You Think You Can Dance, Kathaleen had the privilege to perform with Robbie Williams and the chance to work with many world-renowned choreographers, including Christopher Scott. Her goal coming out of So You Think You Can Dance is to make ballroom dancing a more popular style and she hopes to attract the younger generation and teach them just how exciting this style of dance can be.
