Autumn School Holiday Workshops

Young dancers will have fun, develop their dance skills and be taught by the best in the industry at Sydney Dance Company’s Autumn School Holiday Workshops!

FAQs

Sydney Dance Company holiday workshops are primarily for young dancers with some experience. We also offer workshops for beginner dancers. Please book the course appropriate to your age group.

Wear casual dance wear, something that you already have and feel comfortable in e.g. dance tights and top, leotard and tights with skirt or shorts over the top, track pants and t-shirt/singlet top. For Jazz and Hip Hop bring jazz shoes or sneakers and for Contemporary and Lyrical bring ballet flats or cotton socks. You can also dance bare foot.

Please bring your own lunch, snacks and drinks. Students with any allergies should take appropriate precautions. Take your bags into the studio with you and leave valuables at home. There is hand sanitiser available at multiple points across the Studios for you to use.

Parents/Guardians will be asked to create an account for themselves. Once this is created, you have the option to attach a child account to your account. Please create an account for each child you wish to enrol. Enrol in the selected course and then checkout. If you wish to enrol multiple children or purchase multiple workshops, click again to add another class/child before checking out.

We do not provide refunds or credits for change of mind or other personal circumstances. We can provide a credit note if the cancellation is due to a medical reason and a medical certificate is provided.

Dance classes can involve risk of personal injury. While Sydney Dance Company takes all reasonable care in the conduct of its classes, it accepts no responsibility for injury or loss caused during classes or whilst participants are at or near the dance studio. You are responsible for ensuring that you are physically and medically fit for the class and during the class you must at all times take care of your own personal safety. If an advertised teacher is suddenly unavailable, due to circumstances beyond our control, a replacement teacher with similar attributes and qualifications will be employed.

Your health and well being have always, and will continue to be, our number one priority. We encourage you to wear a mask, practice physical distancing where possible and sanitise your hands.

Do I need to be double vaccinated to attend class?

No. As of 11 March, proof of vaccination (or medical exemption) is no longer required to enter the Wharf Studios.

What do I do if I feel unwell or have any of the following symptoms: cough, fever, sore throat, shortness of breath?

Please do not come to the Studios. Get tested and wait until you no longer have any symptoms before returning to class. Please adhere to any self-isolation guidelines from the NSW Government before you return to the Studios.

Wharf 4/5 is a brisk 15 minute walk from both Circular Quay and Wynyard Station. From Circular Quay walk towards Dawes Point via Argyle Street, then right onto Lower Fort Street, left onto Windmill Street and down the steps to Hickson Road.

By Bus
Wharf 4/5 can be accessed by the 324 and 325 bus services from the Eastern Suburbs. To check on updates to your bus services please visit transportnsw.info or phone 131 500.

By Car
Metered parking is available outside the Wharf. There are a number of car parks close by. We suggest travelling by public transport where possible.
