Announcing our 2015 Season

Welcome to our 2015 season! With six world premieres and one Australian premiere, 2015 will showcase our 16 fiercely talented and physically exhilarating dancers.

Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne
Appearing for its Australian premiere Quintett is William Forsythe’s poignant masterpiece soundtracked by Gavin Bryars’ Jesus’ Blood Never Failed Me Yet, alongside Rafael Bonachela’s brand new work, Frame of Mind, set to original compositions by Bryce Dessner (guitarist from The National) in a recording by the Kronos Quartet. Read more. 

Triptych (25 SEPT – 10 OCT)
Sydney Exclusive Season
Triptych offers a radiant marriage of movement, music from a 17-strong orchestra, live vocals from legendary songstress Katie Noonan and costume design from Helpmann Award-winner Toni Maticevski. A never-before-seen work from Rafael joins a repeat performance of his Les Illuminations, returning after a sold-out 2013 season at Sydney Opera House. Read more.

New Breed continues our commitment to Australia’s most exciting emerging dance creators in partnership with Carriageworks.Showcasing a rich diversity of choreographic ideas, these incredibly talented choreographers will create brand new pieces on members of Sydney Dance Company. Read more.
