BALLET
Footwear: ballet shoes (eg canvas ballet flats) or cotton socks for beginners.
Clothing: Non-restrictive and similar to something you would wear to the gym. e.g. tights with over-skirt or shorts, lycra leggins, leotard & tights, sports top, singlet or t-shirt. It is better to wear something figure hugging for ballet. Track pants/long shorts & singlet for men.
CONTEMPORARY
Footwear: ballet flats, foot thongs, bare feet or socks.
Clothing: Non-restrictive and similar to something you would wear to the gym. e.g. track pants, shorts with tights, lycra leggins, sports top, singlet or t-shirt.
JAZZ & JFH
Footwear: jazz shoes, jazz sneakers, or regular sneakers (that are flexible) or cotton socks.
Clothing: non-restrictive clothing, something you would wear to the gym eg. Track pants, shorts, tights, lycra leggins, singlet, t-shirt or sports top.
HIP HOP
Footwear: Runners or sneakers.
Clothing: Non-restrictive street wear such as track pants, long shorts, t-shirt or singlet top.
LATIN
Girls: Casual dance wear such as lycra leggins, leotard top, tshirt or singlet top, dance skirt over leggins, chorus shoes or low heel leather shoe. Please don’t wear any clunky necklaces or big jewellery!
Guys: Casual wear such as jeans & shirt or t-shirt, leather business shoes or leather slip on shoes or boots. You can’t wear heavy runners because you they grip to the floor and you won’t be able to spin.
STRETCH & PILATES
Footwear: bare feet or cotton socks
Clothing: Non-restrictive stretch clothing such as leggins, tights, long shorts, track pants, sports top, singlet or t-shirt.
TAP
Footwear: tap shoes, character shoes or similar leather sole shoe.
Clothing: Non-restrictive and similar to something you would wear to the gym. e.g. track pants, tights with over-skirt or shorts, lycra leggins, t-shirt or singlet top.
ZUMBA:
Footwear: Sneakers or Jazz Shoes
Clothing: Something you can move in! Gym gear such as lycra leggins and sports top, shorts and singlet etc.
THEATRE JAZZ
Footwear: Jazz shoes, Jazz sneakers or chorus shoes (for advanced).
Clothing: Non-restrictive and similar to something you would wear to the gym. e.g. tights & shorts, lycra leggins and sports top, singlet or t-shirt, leotard & tights. Track Pants & singlet for men.
