Complete Repertoire
Since 1976 Sydney Dance Company has presented over 140 original works, and continues to produce on average one new work every year. Almost half of these works have been created by the Company’s Artistic Director Graeme Murphy, over 30 of which are full-length.
In addition to the works of Graeme Murphy, Sydney Dance Company has demonstrated a commitment to developing the choreographic skills of its dancers by regularly scheduling choreographic workshops into its performance calendar.
The Company is also committed to showcasing contemporary dance works by other Australian and international choreographers, and as such has commissioned a number of works by guest choreographers, including Gideon Obarzanek, Graeme Watson, Louis Falco, Ohad Naharin, Douglas Wright and most recently Stephen Petronio.
