Carlee Mellow graduated from the Victorian College of the Arts in 1995. Over the last 15 years she has worked in both film and live performance as a choreographer, dancer, actor and collaborator with many choreographers and directors, touring nationally and internationally.
Carlee is the recipient of numerous grants and commissions, winning the Green Room Award for Best Emerging Dancer (1998) and receiving a nomination in 2010 for her role in Sandra Parker’s Out of Light and Chunky Move’s Black Marrow. This year her solo work, EXPECTATION received 4 Green Room nominations.

Carlee has recently completed a residency at Belvoir Theatre with Nicola Gunn working on their interactive performance event, ‘Hello, my name is.’ She has also choreographed for Arena Theatre’s Girl Who Cried Wolf (2008), The Malthouse Theatre and Arena Theatre co-production of Goodbye Vaudeville Charlie Mudd (2009) and Oz Opera’s La Traviata (2010).

Carlee has taught the 3rd year students at the VCA since 2004 and the post-graduate students from 2008 – 2010. She regularly teaches at Chunky Move and has taught at Lucy Guerin Inc., Dancehouse, Oz Opera, Bangarra Dance Theatre, KAGE Physical Theatre and Dance Works.
She is also a qualified yoga teacher.
Carlee was Program Producer at Dancehouse from 2008 – 2010.
