Born in Australia, Paul works both at home and abroad as a dancer, choreographer, film maker and teacher. Paul first trained as a gymnast and successfully competed nationally for five years. He began dancing in 1999 with Quantum Leap Youth Dance Company and in 2002 graduated from Queensland University of Technology. Whilst training he danced with Opera Queensland and worked commercially with various artists and organisations. Since 2003, Paul has performed with Garry Stewart’s Australian Dance Theatre, touring throughout UK, Europe, America and Australia. For his performance in Held, Paul received ‘Most Outstanding Performance by a Male Dancer’ at the 2004 Australian Dance Awards. Throughout 2007/2008, Paul performed internationally in Nigel Jamieson’s Honour Bound and in August 2007 joined Rafael Bonachela’s Bonachela Dance Company (BDC) in London. He has choreographed several works for Quantum Leap and appeared in US photographer Lois Greenfield’s calendars and exhibitions. Paul has created several short dance films/video installations that have screened in film festivals in Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, India, UK, Holland, Argentina and Switzerland. He has also been featured in several short dance films/installations created in Australia, France and UK, involving artists such as Gina Czarnecki, film director John Maybury, architect Nigel Coates and music composers Brian Eno and Hyun-Hwa Cho. Paul is currently creating a short dance film with Closer Productions and Restless Dance Company for the 2009 Adelaide Film Festival and has most recently performed in Kaori Ito’s Noctiluque,
