Biography

Ralph Myers is a director and designer and is the former Artistic Director of Belvoir. He has designed for many companies including The National Theatre (I’m Not Running), The Glydnebourne Festival (Hamlet), The Norwegian National Opera (Pelleas et Mellisande) Theater Basel (Angels in America, Die Tote Stadt), Münchner Kammerspiele (Rocco and His Brothers) Sydney Theatre Company (A Streetcar Named Desire, The Lost Echo), Melbourne Theatre Company (Frozen, Dinner), Ballet de l’Opera de Lyon (Black Box), English National Opera (Caligula), Opera Australia (Peter Grimes, The Marriage of Figaro, Cosi Fan Tutti), New Zealand Opera (La Boheme) and Chunky Move (Two Faced Bastard). For Belvoir he directed Peter Pan, directed and designed Private Lives, and designed Kill the Messenger, Is This Thing On?, The Government Inspector, Coranderrk, Hamlet, Stories I Want to Tell You in Person, Death of a Salesman, Summer of the Seventeenth Doll, The Seagull, The Wild Duck, Measure for Measure, Toy Symphony, Parramatta Girls, Ray’s Tempest, The Spook, The Fever, Conversations with the Dead and The Cosmonaut’s Last Message to the Woman He Once Loved in the Former Soviet Union.
